It’s mostly good news for Trojan fans heading into the final week of the 2014 recruiting period as USC looks poised to avoid much of the drama that categorized the recruiting saga of 2013.
Steve Sarkisian and his staff have managed to secure strong commitments from most of their recruits, including three-star safety Uchenna Nwosu (Harbor City, Calif./Narbonne) who becomes the latest Trojan commit to shut down his recruitment.
100% USC my recruitment is closed! I’m canceling all upcoming visits

Nwosu committed to USC back in October when Ed Orgeron was running the show and he’s been solid to the Trojans since then despite an offer and official visit to Washington over the weekend.
The 6’2, 185Nwosu is Rival’s 97th ranked safety in the state.
Four-star tight end Bryce Dixon (Ventura, Calif./St. Bonaventure) also wrapped things up recently after his official visit to USC. The top ranked tight end in the country was set to visit UCLA this coming weekend but Dixon has reportedly nixed that plan in favor of an unofficial visit to the Trojans.
USC currently has 15 of 19 available spots filled and with five of those already enrolled in the spring semester, it’s unlikely the Trojans will see any more departures from this class.
