Five-star athlete Adoree’ Jackson (Gardena, Calif./Junipero Serra) will announce his college decision on National Signing Day (Feb. 5) at 11:05 a.m. from Junipero Serra’s gym, according to Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times.
The announcement will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
Rivals ranks Jackson as the No. 1 prep player in the state of California for the 2014 class.
Jackson’s recruitment has been one of the more prominent stories of the 2014 recruiting cycle, and with him yet to decide on a final official visit, he figures to continue to dominate headlines.
Jackson is reportedly deciding between Tennessee, UCLA and USC for his fifth official visit.
Trojan coaches recently met with Jackson in their continued effort to display why they believe USC is the correct choice for the dynamic athlete.
Greg Biggins and Brandon Huffman of Scout.com both predicted that Jackson would ultimately sign with the Trojans.
With news on Monday that Charles Nelson (Dayton Beach, Fla./Seabreeze) committed to Oregon, and the general conviction that Michiah Quick (Fresno, Calif./Central East) is bound for Oklahoma, getting Jackson in the Trojan class is of high priority for Steve Sarkisian.
Also rumored to be playing a role in Jackson’s decision is his desire to compete in Track & Field in the college ranks.
