As with all things related to recruiting and USC, Twitter was quick to comment on the latest Trojan commit, Ricky Town.
The five-star St. Boniventure product, who is the second-rated 2015 pro-style quarterback generated plenty of buzz when he de-committed from Alabama this morning and the buzz didn’t stop when he flipped to USC.
The man who broke the news, Fox Sports Greg Biggins, relayed the story of the commitment:
Town was on campus earlier and committed before heading out to dinner, Trojan assistant coach Marques Tuiasosopo did a great job with the QB

Rivals analyst Adam Gorney noted the quick turn around:
That was fast. Hours after backing off # Alabama pledge five – star QB Ricky Town commits on visit to #USC

NBCSports contributor Kevin McGuire pointed out the Lane Kiffin connection in Town’s recruitments:

Andie Hagemann revealed a related tidbit:
Not surprised that Ricky Town has committed to USC. A source close to Town told me a few months back that Kiffin has always been a factor.

Fox Sports’ Lindey Thiry noted the ripple affect Town’s commitment could have on other USC recruits.
#USC does have a verbal commitment from 2015 quarterback David Sills. My guess, is that Sills will go elsewhere. He’s been looking around.
