Back on January 4th, Bryce Dixon out of St. Bonaventure in Ventura, Calif. committed to USC at the 2014 Army All-American Bowl. At the time, it was seen as a surprise pull for the Trojans, as Dixon picked USC over arch-rival UCLA. Now with three weeks until Signing Day, don’t count Jim Mora’s Bruins out.
The 4-star tight end is scheduled to make an official visit to Westwood on January 31st, according to ESPN’s Blair Angulo.

Should the trip follow through as planned, UCLA would get the symbolic last word with Dixon, as he’s set to officially visit USC this upcoming weekend during the Trojans’ big showcase weekend.
With Xavier Grimble having decided on joining the 2014 NFL Draft, it goes without saying that Dixon is an extremely important recruit for the Trojans.
As of right now, USC only returns two scholarship tight ends, in senior Randall Telfer and junior Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick.
Telfer has battled injuries in each of the past two seasons, while Cope-Fitzpatrick has been a reserve for much of his first two years on campus, sitting behind Grimble and Telfer on the depth chart.
Signing Day is Wednesday, February 5th.
