Perhaps in an effort to ease some of the sting that USC fans were dealing with, the university announced the dates for homecoming and Trojan Family Weekend.
Trojan Family Weekend will be the weekend of Sept. 27 when the Trojans face the Oregon State Beavers.
In 2013, Trojan families were welcomed to campus the weekend of Oct. 26 when the Trojans squared off against the Utah Utes.
The Trojans entered the game reeling a bit with a 4-3 record following a tough loss to Notre Dame. A gritty 19-3 victory over the Utes helped propel the Trojans to a five-game winning streak.
With Trojan Family Weekend coming in the fifth week of the season, the Trojans should at a minimum have a 2-1 record heading into the tilt against the Beavers.
The Trojans are just 3-2 in their previous five games against the Beavers, but hold a 41-3-3 record over them at home.
Homecoming will be on Oct. 18 when the Trojans face the Colorado Buffaloes.
Last season, the Trojans celebrated homecoming on Nov. 16 against the Stanford Cardinal. At that point, interim coach Ed Orgeron had the Trojans at 7-3 and 4-1 in their previous five games.
It was a memorable night as the Trojans were able to defeat the then No. 4 Cardinal 20-17.
The Trojans will be looking to move to 9-0 all time over the Buffaloes.
