Both the 2013 football season and the BCS are freshly in grave, but it’s time to turn the page and start looking ahead to the 2014 campaign. Today, the Pac-12 Conference released the full schedule, with the traditional nine in-conference games.
The Trojans kick off the Steve Sarkisian era with a familiar foe, facing the same Fresno State team that USC soundly defeated in last month’s Las Vegas Bowl.
It’s the first time USC will open a season against a team they closed the previous season against, since 1917. Ironically, it’s the second straight season that Sarkisian finds himself with the task, as Washington opened the 2013 season at home against Boise State, following a meeting with them in the 2012 Las Vegas Bowl.

The cursed Pac-12 road opener comes early this year, in Palo Alto on September 6th, when the Trojans take on Stanford. USC hasn’t won at Stanford Stadium since 2008, and has dropped the conference road opener in three straight years and five of six years overall.
Once again, the Coliseum will play host to a Thursday night game, as the Cal Bears come calling on November 13th.
Sticking to tradition, the Trojans will conclude the season with their rivals. USC travels to the Rose Bowl on November 22nd to play UCLA, and hosts Notre Dame on Thanksgiving weekend.
