Steve Sarkisian completed his staff at USC on Tuesday with the hiring of defensive line coach Bo Davis, and the freshly-hired coach has quickly gotten to work.

According to ESPN’s Blair Angulo, four-star defensive tackle Courtney Garnett (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine), who was committed to Texas, has de-committed as of Tuesday.

Rivals.com indicates Garnett holds a scholarship offer from USC and is interested in the Trojans.

Garnett’s de-commitment from Texas doesn’t come as much of a surprise being that his primary recruiter and would-be position coach is no longer at the university.

Also receiving a scholarship offer from USC on Tuesday was safety Arrion Springs (San Antonio, Texas/San Antonio Roosevelt).

While Springs’ offer does come with Garnett now on the Trojans’ staff, defensive backs coach Keith Heyward was recruiting Springs while he was a member of Washington’s staff.

The impact the offer will have on Springs, who committed to Oregon in July, remains to be seen.

With 17 current commitments, the Trojans have two scholarships remaining for 2014.

With a talented collection of players still available, it will be interesting to see how Sarkisian manages to crunch the numbers.
