Brown is a four-star recruit according to Scout. He has the size and athleticism to play nearly every position on the line, which will make him an asset for USC who has dealt with major depth issues on the line during sanctions. Steve Sarkisian spoke in his introductory press conference about the need to bring in offensive linemen this class.
The 6-6, 290-pound left tackle had offers from UCLA, Oregon, Cal and Texas A&M among many others. He had visited Oregon and Texas A&M, but chose to stay home with the Trojans.
With Brown’s commitment secured, Sarkisian can now claim his fourth commitment as the USC head coach, although Brown apparently committed a month ago when Ed Orgeron was still the interim. Jonathan Lockett, Claude Pelon and Don Hill have also committed to USC since Sarkisian’s hire, with the latter two set to join the Trojans this January.
