Steve Sarkisian secured his second commitment on Wednesday in the form of junior college defensive tackle Claudeson Pelon out of Mesa Community College in Mesa, Ariz.
The 6’5″, 285-pound lineman is listed as a four-star prospect on Rivals.com, and ESPN lists Pelon as the 21st ranked junior college player.
Like Jonathan Lockett, Pelon made his announcement via Twitter, although his was initially a bit unclear.
Jason Jewell of Scout later confirmed Pelon’s commitment.

With Clancy Pendergast potentially staying on at USC, Pelon is another big body to help anchor the defensive front.
Perhaps of more importance, Pelon will fill one of the four early enrollee slots USC has available, which they must use or they will lose the scholarship.
A previous Trojan overture to the junior college ranks worked out well in the form of Morgan Breslin, who led the team in tackles last season.
Similar to assembling his coaching staff, Sarkisian’s impact on recruiting hadn’t quite hit its stride.
With Lockett and Pelon committing on Wednesday, the Trojans may be garnering some momentum as National Signing Day nears.
