Be prepared for what could be Steve Sarkisian’s first ever commitment tweet. Why? Well, because four-star cornerback Jonathan Lockett out of Santa Ana Mater Dei will be announcing his commitment on Twitter, tonight (Wednesday) at about 7:00 p.m. Pacific, per Greg Biggins of FOX.
Lockett committed to Washington back on June 29th, and was a solid Husky until the departure of Sarkisian and defensive backs coach Keith Heyward to USC last week.
I have decommited from Washington and open up my recruiting process.

That open process only appears to have lasted a couple of days, with news of Lockett’s decision coming tonight.
Given the circumstances surrounding Heyward, the offer from USC and the pipeline to the Trojans that is Mater Dei, it would be a big surprise if Lockett committed to anyone but USC tonight.
Lockett is/was scheduled to make an official visit to Washington this upcoming weekend, but that likely is now up in the air.
Should Lockett pick the Trojans, he would be USC’s 11th commitment and the second true defensive back, along with Uchenna Nwosu out of Narbonne. Crenshaw’s Ajene Harris is classified as an athlete by recruiting services, but will also likely wind up as a defensive back.
