The USC Trojans are headed to Las Vegas, to participate in their second ever Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl, against the 11-1 Mountain West champion Fresno State Bulldogs.
The game will take place at 12:30 p.m. Pacific, on Saturday, December 21st at Sam Boyd Stadium, the home of the UNLV Rebels. USC is 0-1 all-time at Sam Boyd, having lost Pete Carroll’s first bowl game 10-6 to Utah in the 2001 Las Vegas Bowl. Fresno State has a 5-3 in Las Vegas, which also includes a Las Bowl loss to Utah, which came in 1999.
Both USC and Fresno State will be staying on the strip. The Trojans, as the Pac-12 representative, will stay at the Manadalay Bay Resort on the south end of the strip, while Fresno State’s host hotel is the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the heart of the strip. For more information on hotels, visit the official Las Vegas Bowl website.
