The Trojans entered Saturday with a 4-3 record and badly needed a win, despite fielding a team devastated by a host of injuries. They got it with a stout defensive effort that stifled the Utah Utes, giving the Trojans solid, yet far from pretty 19-3 win. The victory put the Trojans a win from waiver-approved bowl eligibility and two wins shy of a guaranteed 14th game of the calendar year.

In our latest podcast, we look back at the win over Utah and discuss the state of USC football heading into Friday’s big showdown with Oregon State in Corvallis, where USC hasn’t won since 2004.

  • Injuries have obviously been a huge storyline thus far, and now USC finds themselves likely without star freshman safety Su’a Cravens for the game at Oregon State. We talk about the injuries and dissect which are the most crucial.
  • Lastly, we look at Oregon State. Can USC stop Sean Mannion and Brandon Cooks? We talk it over and give our game predictions for the Friday night tilt.

Stay tuned to Reign of Troy Radio, as we’ll have another installment early next week to breakdown what went down in today’s game against Utah.
