The 2012 Biletnikoff Award winner and arguably the most prolific wide receiver in games against the Arizona Wildcats, might not get a chance to play against those same Arizona Wildcats this Thursday night.
Due to a knee injury suffered against Arizona State last Saturday, Marqise Lee was listed as “questionable” by USC head coach Ed Orgeron, following Saturday afernoon’s practice at Howard Jones Field.
Needless to say, Lee would be a huge loss for the Trojans. In two career games against Arizona, he has 24 receptions and an ungodly amount of yards. 489 receiving yards to be exact.
Lee wasn’t the only wide receiver to be out of the mix at practice, as Darreus Rogers and De’Von Flournoy were either out or limited to drills, and Victor Blackwell left practice early, per Lindsey Thiry of FOX Sports.
That leaves just Nelson Agholor has the only mostly-healthy receiver on scholarship for the Trojans at the moment, four nights before playing Rich Rodriguez’s Wildcats.
So far this season, Lee leads the Trojans in catches with 30 through five games. Agholor is the only wide receiver to make more than two catches, as he has 11. Blackwell and Flournoy each have a pair, while Rogers has one.
In positive news for the Trojans, Rogers is expected to play Thursday night.
