USC basketball coach Andy Enfield landed his first commit for 2014 when four-star power forward Malik Price-Martin pledged his allegiance to the Men of Troy on Sunday evening. This is a major get for Enfield–who’s been in Troy only since April–and the men’s basketball program as a whole.
Price-Martin held offers from notable powerhouse basketball programs like Ohio State, Syracuse, Louisville and both Florida and Miami in his own backyard, but he has chosen to migrate out West to pursue a collegiate career.
The Oakland Park, FL native is ranked No. 87 overall according to Rivals, and stands at 6-foot-8, 190 pounds. Price-Martin took to Twitter Sunday to make his announcement official, much to the delight of Trojan hoops fans and those close to him:

Price-Martin has made his college decision rather early, with his commitment coming at the end of the July Live period and before recruiting really picks up steam in August.
According to 247Sports.com, Price-Martin’s commitment to USC ranks the Trojans’ budding Class of 2014 34th overall and 5th in the Pac-12. Considering there is just one member in it so far, Enfield and his recruiting staff are off to a pretty good start.
