Reign of Troy is Looking For Staff Writers to Write About the USC Trojans

Greetings!

It’s the dog days of summer and football is so close we can finally smell it. And what an interesting year of USC football it’ll be, with undefined expectations, plenty of experience and a bunch of exciting new players that should keep fans on the edge of their seat throughout the fall. It all starts unofficially on Friday morning with the Pac-12 Media Day festivities. While we’ll be there first hand to cover it and keep you in the loop, changes are brewing and we’re looking to expand our reach and staff to beef our coverage this fall.

Co-editor Trenise Ferreira will be taking over the full editorial duties here at Reign of Troy, while I’ll be stepping back a little bit as far as my reign as editor goes here at RoT, due to other job opportunities. But hold off on your sympathy letters, I’ll still be here, weighing in on the Trojans as a columnist, as opposed to daily. Plus, The Student Voice of USC Athletics, Evan Budrovich, is still chugging along giving you first-hand insight and interviews from a wide range of sports on campus.

But here’s where you can get involved. While we constantly aim to be the best place for USC news, analysis and opinion on the internet, focusing on objectivity and information, we as a team can’t do it alone.

Therefore, Reign of Troy is currently on the lookout for staff writers. If you’d like to contribute, we’re more than interested to hear from you. All of our work is featured directly on Sports Illustrated’s website, in addition being mentioned on occasion at various media outlets such as ESPN’s Pac-12 Blog and Bleacher Report’s Team Stream.

If you’d like to give it a shot, you can apply here while listing Reign of Troy in the site box. Experience, as you’d imagine, always helps, in addition to spelling Lane Kiffin’s name right. But seriously, don’t be afraid to drop us a line if you’d like to contribute and you can always reach me directly by email, as well.

As always, thank you for reading and for your continuous support of Reign of Troy: the No. 1 USC blog on the internet, founded by USC students.

Best,
