The Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl welcomes back the Pac-12 to its college football postseason event as the Pac-12 and Big 12 have reached a new deal with the organization on Wednesday, according to ESPN.
Beginning during the 2014 postseason, the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl with pair the sixth selection from the Pac-12 with the fifth selection from the Big-12. For the Pac-12, their impending participation in the bowl will be the first one in eight years, while the Big 12 has been an active participant since 2006.
The Pac-12 currently has agreements with seven bowls partners, the most famous of which being The Rose Bowl presented by Vizio, held annually on Jan. 1. The others include The Gildan New Mexico Bowl (Pac-12 vs. Mountain West), Las Vegas Bowl (Pac-12 vs. Mountain West), Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl (Pac-12 vs. BYU if bowl eligible), Valero Alamo Bowl (Pac-12 vs. Big 12) and the Hyundai Sun Bowl (Pac-12 vs. ACC).
The Rose Bowl will also play host to the 2014 BCS National Championship, the last one of the BCS era before the new College Football Championship series begins during the 2014-2015 season.
This season, the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl will feature a match-up of Big 10 and Big 12 teams and will take place on Dec. 28, in Sun Devil Stadium at Arizona State.
