The Biletnikoff Award has released its 2013 preseason watch list and to the surprise of no one, the dynamic duo of Marqise Lee and Nelson Agholor have been included.
Lee won this prestigious individual honor in 2012, after having been left off the list going into the season. By the end of it however, he had 118 receptions for 1721 yards and 14 touchdowns, a number of USC and Pac-12 records and unanimous All-American status; the Biletnikoff was his.
For USC, Lee was the first Trojan to ever bring home the award, and if his junior year goes like his freshman and sophomore seasons have gone, he could be earning another one in 2013.
Though Lee is undoubtedly one of the favorites for this award, rising sophomore Agholor will have something to say about that. After a breakout performance as a back-up receiver his freshman year, Agholor has shown USC fans a glimpse of the future, and it looks bright. He had just 19 receptions in 2012 but amassed 340 yards and two touchdowns, including an incredible 76-yard scoring play where he split two Oregon defenders before sprinting to the endzone.
The young wideout will likely be a starter for USC this year, suggesting the Trojans will put on a very exciting aerial show for fans this season.
This is the third watch list so far for Lee, and the first for Agholor. For a complete look at the Bitetnikoff Award watch list, click here.
