The more and more that the 2014 recruiting class heats up, the more attention defensive back Adoree’ Jackson’s interests get. Jackson is the state’s top recruit and a player with a skill set of Adam ‘Pac-Man’ Jones meets De’Anthony Thomas, making him a obvious choice as USC’s top target.
Even with plenty of young defensive backs on the roster in 2013, Lane Kiffin and his coaching staff –including primary recruiter Tee Martin– have prioritized the pursuit of Jackson. And it’s a chase that so far has seen the Trojans send the 5-star corner an incomplete USC poster in an attempt to convince Jackson that he’s the missing piece to the Trojans’ talented puzzle.
On Saturday at the NFA’s IMG 7v7 West Regional Championships in Fullerton, Jackson was spotted with a pair of USC-themed white tube socks. ESPN recruiting analyst Blair Angulo was on hand to capture the fashion statement on Vine, as seen below.
At the moment, it would seem that the Trojans are the leaders in clubhouse for Jackson, but it’s early. Serra teammate Dwight Williams is holding his leaders close to the vest, while Jackson has visited USC multiple times this spring and hasn’t been shy about tweeting about his recruitment interest from multiple schools.
As of now, USC has five commitments in the class of 2014, all of which have been linemen. Should Jackson ultimately pen his name to a USC-bound letter of intent, he would join a secondary with fellow five-star talents Su’a Cravens and Leon McQuay III.
Now, as for those socks…
