5. T.J. McDonald’s interception on the run
The Trojans pressured Cal quarterback Zach Maynard all afternoon in Week 4, as the USC defensive line totaled nine sacks. The highlight of the game however, was T.J. McDonald’s first interception of the season. McDonald began the play in a deep zone, then tracked Maynard as a spy across the width of the field before jumping the route on a poorly thrown ball thrown across Maynard’s body. NFL scouts likely have watched the play on repeat.
