Report: Shooting at USC Halloween Party on Campus Leaves At Least Four Shot

Shots rang out late Wednesday night on USC’s main campus at a Halloween Party. The Freak or Greek #SCHype College Costume Party began at the Ronald Tutor Campus center at 9 p.m. and was scheduled to last until 2 a.m., before shots were fired that halted the party.

Within minutes, the university issued a Trojan Alert, which was sent out to students via multiple electronic platforms:

A shooting has occurred at approximately 1130 pm in the area of Tutor Campus Center on UPC Campus . The suspect is at large. Stay away from the area. Seek shelter in a secure location until the incident is resolved. Be aware of your surroundings. If you hear shots fired or have reason to believe that the suspect is in or near your location, notify the Department of Public Safety at 213-740-4321 if it is safe to do so. Updates on the situation will follow as new and confirmed information becomes available.

According to ATVN and Tommy Cam, shots were fired at 11:15 p.m. and USC’s Department of Public Safety arrived at 11:22 p.m.

There’s no word as of yet regarding the identity of the victims, but support from USC athletes has already begun on twitter.

Police-related incident in progress at Tutor Campus Center on UPC Campus. The scene is secure and there is an ongoing investigation. The campus is currently locked down and nobody is being allowed on or off campus until further, stay away from area at this time.
