The season’s first version of the BCS Standings have been released and the USC Trojans have made the rankings for the first time in the Lane Kiffin era, as they round out the top 10.

The SEC rules the roost yet again to start the rankings, as Alabama and Florida are currently set to met in the title game as the top two ranked teams. LSU and South Carolina also made the Top 10 from the SEC, as the Tigers, winners over the Gamecocks last night, are one spot ahead of South Carolina, at seventh.

Three Pac-12 teams made the Top 10, with undefeated Oregon coming in third and the 5-0 Oregon State sitting at eight, just two sports ahead of the Trojans. While Oregon is currently on the outside looking in of the National Championship Game, they do have the benefit of knowing that both Alabama and Florida cannot both run the table as they would be forced to potentially meet in the SEC Championship Game.

For the Trojans, sitting in 10th is still a good spot at this part of October, as the Trojans have two games against teams ahead of them, with the potential of three games, should they face Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game.
