USC Football Recruiting: Montravius Adams Could See Himself with Trojans

It’s unheard of that a 5-Star recruit would not be on Twitter, which was the case with Montravius Adams until today. The 5-Star defensive tackle out of Vienna, Georgia is a top recruit in the Class of 2013, and ranked as the second best tackle in the nation being Kenny Bigelow, who has been committed to the Trojans since November.

Adams has been a de facto strong SEC lean due to his Georgia residence, as the 6-foot-3, 290 pound tackle has offers from 11 SEC schools, including the usual suspects like Alabama, Florida and LSU. Auburn, Georgia and Clemson are considered to be the favorites for Adams, but the west coast is making a strong push, as Lane Kiffin’s USC Trojans have entered the fold, with Adams mulling an official visit.

Today, just as Adams joined Twitter, his immediately tweeted to Kenny Bigelow with some budding love for USC and sunny Southern California.

The Trojans currently have five commitments from defensive line prospects, with Biglow anchoring the line of the future with Eddie Vanderdoes, Kylie Fitts, Torrodney Prevot and Jason Hatcher. Considering the Trojans are already one over the limitation for the Class of 2013, if Adams were to ultimately choose Troy, something would have to give. According to sources close to Fitts and Vanderdoes, it would not at all be either of those two.
