USC won’t be putting on a show this Saturday, so it’s time to turn our attention back to the recruiting trail and see how some of the Trojans’ Class of 2013 recruits are doing. The Trojans had their 2013 roster set back in late July, and in just a few weeks of the season these guys are already showing why they were so sought after my Lane Kiffin and his staff:

Other interesting things to note:

Before the 2012 high school season even started, MaxPreps.com made a a Preseason All-Southern California Team, and the roster is just studded with USC commits: Steven Mitchell, Nico Falah, Kylie Fitts, Su’A Cravens, Max Redfield, Chris Hawkins, and Sebastian LaRue all made the cut.

Eddie Vanderdoes, Su’A Cravens, Max Browne, and Michael Hutchings are all playing for undefeated teams, as are four other of USC’s 18 commits.

Max Browne is in the mix for MaxPrep.com’s Player of the Year, and is one of the front-runners to win it. Browne also recently made Tom Lemming’s of CBS Sports list of Top 10 High School Quarterbacks, taking the Number One spot.

Vanderdoes continuing to shine in his conference, as he has been nominated for the Midseason Player of the Year designation by the Sacramento Bee.

Su’A Cravens is also on MaxPreps.com’s Player of the Year Watch List. Though he is not one of the favorites, recruiting experts are expecting him to make some waves on both sides of the ball before this season is over.
