Though the Trojans’ Week Two win was not nearly as convincing as their first win over Hawaii, the Trojans remain at the No. 2 spot in this week’s AP Poll. Both LSU and Oregon had more dominant wins over their respective opponents this week and a drop for USC would have been expected, but for whatever reason, that did not happen. The Top 4 did not budge at all in Week 2, and the only slight change to the top 5 is the fact that Oklahoma and Florida State pulled in the same amount of points yet somehow switch spots to now be No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

Here’s a complete look at this week’s Top 25. The fourth column lists the rankings (or lack thereof) from Week One:

Alabama (48) 2-0 1486 1
USC (8) 2-0 1414 2
LSU (4) 2-0 1404 3
Oregon 2-0 1299 4
Florida State 2-0 1160 6
Oklahoma 2-0 1160 5

Georgia 2-0 1155 7
South Carolina 2-0 1025 9
West Virginia 1-0 1017 9
Michigan State 2-0 995 11
Clemson 2-0 868 12
Ohio State 2-0 772 14
Virginia Tech 2-0 734 15
Texas 2-0 716 17
Kansas State 2-0 714 21
TCU 1-0 542 20
Michigan 1-1 429 19
Florida 2-0 427 24
Louisville 2-0 316 23
Notre Dame 2-0 310 22
Stanford 2-0 260 25
UCLA 2-0 250 0
Tennessee 2-0 177 27
Arizona 2-0 149 0
BYU 2-0 110 28

Notable changes in this week’s poll: Arkansas who was a Top 10 team last week, has taken the second-largest fall out of the AP Poll ever, falling from eighth to unranked after losing to Louisiana-Monroe. The Razorbacks lost 34-31 in overtime after losing quarterback Tyler Wilson and at one point leading 28-7. A strong Pac-12 effort caused Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma State all fell out of the Top 25 after losing to UCLA, Oregon State, and Arizona, respectively.
