The Trojans held their last practice at Howard Jones field Wednesday, before they travel to the east coast Thursday to take on Syracuse. Some injured players from last week spoke with the media today and said they will play against Syracuse, claiming to be 100-percent ready to go.

Here’s Wednesday’s rundown:

Quick Hits:

  • CB Torin Harris says he’s finally healthy and ready to play. His role against Syracuse is still up in the air, however.
  • Lamar Dawson also said he is 95-percent ready to go, but he said that last week and Kiffin held him out. Granted, he wasn’t necessarily needed last week, but his presence would be welcomed against Syracuse’s offense.
  • RB D.J. Morgan is going to miss a few weeks of the season while he undergoes minor knee surgery. He tweeted about the impending surgery on Wednesday morning: “Everyone pray for me please! Im going into a minor surgery today with my knee I’ll be out for only 3-4 weeks!”

Coaches’ Quips:

  • Kiffin said he felt the defense played much better today at practice than on Tuesday.
  • Kiffin is really stressing how active Cuse’s offense is as he has mentioned them throwing for more yards than anyone multiple times over the past few days.
  • He spoke about the walk-through that USC will hold at Metlife Stadium, giving the reason that they will be there 2 days early. They will not have a work out there.
  • As previously noted, the Trojans leave for Syracuse Thursday and will have a walk-through when they arrive.

USC takes on Syracuse on ABC at 12:30 p.m. PT.
