USC Football Recruiting: Cole Luke Has Trojans in His Top Four

by USC Football Recruiting

The Trojans have received two commitments to the Class of 2013 this week, but news keeps getting interesting, as Cole Luke has decided that USC is worthy of being in his top four, according to Jason Jewel of Scout.

Luke is 6-foot, 165 pound, 4-star corner out of Hamilton High in Chandler, Arizona, and is the 21st ranked cornerback in the Class of 2013, according to Rivals. He’s considering the Trojans, in addition to Texas, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

Due to scholarship restrictions, USC can only take in a total 18 players this season, and with 16 already in the fold, just two scholarships remain. Currently, the Trojans have four commitments in the secondary, with two corners and two safeties. Chris Hawkins and Jalen Ramsey were the first two corners to commit to USC, and Vernon Hargreaves, the top corner in the nation, is expected to released his top five tomorrow, with the Trojans in the mix.

It’ll be interesting to see if Luke and Hargreaves end up jockeying for positioning. Hargreaves visited USC last week and raved about the campus enviornment, and stopped in Columbus earlier this week to visit Ohio State.

With just two spots left, if either Luke or Hargreaves wants to commit to USC, they’ll likely have to beat the other to the punch. Judging by Nelson Agholor’s connections to Hargreaves, especially on Twitter, if you had to make a prediction, Hargreaves is probably the gut feeling by most.

Oh, and by the way, doesn’t Cole Luke look just like Robert Woods?
