USC Football Recruiting: Eddie Vanderdoes Releases Top 10

Four-star defensive line recruit Eddie Vanderdoes released his long-awaited top 10 list this morning on twitter, featuring many of the schools that are known to be in on him, including the USC Trojans and the Oregon Ducks.

The list isn’t too surprising, as Vanderdoes told Rivals in June that he was planning on taking trips to LSU, Oregon, Nebraska and Penn State.

The Trojans have a tall mountain to climb to get past Oregon and LSU, but with Ed Orgeron, it’s not out of the question. Vanderdoes does have a strong relationship with Oregon defensive lineman Arik Armstead, which bodes well for the Ducks, but at USC, the Trojans could sell the Wild Bunch III factor we mentioned last week.

Vanderdoes will be in Oregon this weekend at The Opening, along with eight USC commits. This isn’t the first time he’s been in Oregon this summer, as he attended Oregon’s Nike camp back in early June, where he won the camp’s MVP.

While at The Opening, he’s expected to make another trip to Eugene, in addition to attending a game in the fall as part of an unoffical trip. Whether or not he has an unofficial visit at SC for a game is yet to be seen.

What do you think about Vanderdoes? Who ya got? He can play both the tackle and end spots on the defensive line, and could be an anchor the line with Kenny Bigelow for years to come, should he choose SC.
