On Monday, Steve Johnson brought more tennis glory to USC when he defeated Eric Quigley of Kentucky in the NCAA Men’s singles tournament.

Johnson was the No. 1 seed going into the tournament and definitely lived up to it.Just last week he led USC to victory over Virginia in the team finals, making himself the first singles champion to lead his team to four straight team victories.

What a champ.

His opponent, Eric Quigley was the No. 3 seeded player in the tournament, and will finish his season 54-8, best in Kentucky’s school history.

Johnson took a 5-4 lead in the first set, and a 4-3 lead in the second. Ultimately, he won 6-4 in both sets. When Quigley’s shot sailed deep on the match point, Johnson fell to his knees in celebration.

Steve Johnson will conclude his career with an incredible 72 consecutive victories, a perfect record from his senior year of 32-0, and six total championship rings.

Pretty glorious, if you ask me!
