USC Football Recruiting: Justin Davis Will Decide Between 5:30 and 6:00 PM

The top running back on the west coast, Justin Davis out of Stockton, will decide between USC, Cal and Washington this evening.

As we mentioned yesterday, Davis would be a big commit for the Trojans, as he would team up with Ty Isaac as the Trojans need to find a replacement for Curtis McNeal.

The 37th ranked recruit in the nation according to the FanSided 150, Davis is the top pure running back in the state of California, and holds a 4-star rating.

USC is considered to be one of, if not the favorite for Davis. Davis told Anthony Gorney of Rivals on Tuesday, that the commitment of Ty Isaac would not have any bearing on his decision, setting up the possibility that the Lane Kiffin’s Trojans could pick up two 4-star running backs in a matter of 48 hours.

Should Davis commit to the Trojans, USC will have seven committed recruits for the Class of 2013, including the nation’s top quarterback, Max Browne, and two of the top running backs, with Davis and Isaac. As Heisman Pundit mentioned earlier this week, with a recruiting class like Lane Kiffin is building, it’s hard to say that the Trojans have been handcuffed with their imposed sanctions, as it’s allowed the Trojans to pin point their talent and be more selective with top recruits.

Stay tuned to Reign of Troy both here and on Twitter, for more about Justin Davis.
