On Saturday, former Trojan WR Keyshawn Johnson will be recognized by his alma mater by being inducted into USC’s Hall of Fame.
Johnson had an illustrious career, including, but not limited to, being named to the 1995 All-American first team and being the No. 1 overall pick out of the 1996 NFL draft.
Currently, Johnson is an ESPN NFL analyst, but he often pays homage to USC by returning as a guest speaker in various journalism classes, and by making appearances to football practice to work out with the current players. He even has his own cart named after him.
Yeah, he’s a pretty big deal.
Apart from Keyshawn Johnson, this year’s Hall of Fame class includes WNBA star and Olympic gold medal champion Tina Thompson, five-time Cy Young award winner Randy Johnson and former stand-out offensive lineman Tony Boselli, among others.
The 2012 Hall of Fame Induction & Ceremony will take place at the Galen Center on Saturday, May 12th, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
