After going undrafted in the NFL’s annual draft, former USC linebacker Chris Galippo didn’t last long in free agency, signing with the Indianpolis Colts shortly after the last draft pick was announced late this afternoon, per Pedro Moura.
Galippo joins two Trojans in Indianapolis, defensive lineman Fili Moala and corner Kevin Thomas. But after a grueling three days for Galippo, signing with the Colts might have been the easiest decision for him, with Chuck Pagano, a defensive minded head coach, should look for Galippo to steal a roster spot in camp this summer.
While Galippo was USC’s biggest draft snub, he wasn’t the Pac-12 conference’s most shocking undrafted player, as Washington’s Chris Polk and Arizona State’s Vontaze Burfict both went undrafted. Naturally, the controversial Burfict signed with the Bengals, and Polk has signed with the Eagles, with hopes of backing up LeSean McCoy.
