LB Dion Bailey on Barry’s departure: “We’ve still got Coach Kiffin, we’ll be OK.”

Last week, it came out that Linebacker coach Joe Barry would be leaving the Trojans for the San Diego Chargers. In the wake of that news, some players tweeted their feelings about losing their position coach. Hayes Pullard, who had a breakout season largely in part to Barry’s coaching tweeted:

Wish You the best Coach Barry. Respect your Decision. Know I will Continue being a Peak Performer like you said. See ya Later


Fellow LB Dion Bailey also tweeted, but his words were more somber:

Sad day.. I feel like crying.. Happy for him though !! Chargers get ready For the best coach ever !!

Since then, ESPNLA’s Pedro Moura has caught up with Bailey to see how the guys are feel about going forward next season without him. Barry will be sorely missed by players and fans alike; he is a great developer of talent, and this was seen in the drastic change the defense went through in just one off season. However, it seems as if the guys think they will be ready come fall to get the job done:
