Top 10 performers, No. 4: Nickell Robey

Coming in at No. 4 on Pedro Moura’s list of top performers from the 2011 season is none other than Nickell “Zero Tolerance Policy” Robey.

If you remember, we at Reign of Troy gave Robey that nickname because when it comes to shutting down receivers, he does it like a boss.

Robey isn’t a big guy–he’s only about 5’6″ and 160 pounds–but he plays like Goliath and is hands-down one of USC’s best defensive athletes. Aside from his unquestionable athletic ability, the other thing that makes him stand out is his positive energy that seems to permeate everything around him. Robey has had a tough journey to USC (his mother passed away right after he committed to USC in 2009) but in spite of that, he approaches every day with a smile on his face and is an inspiration to all.
