USC wins season opener, beats CSUN 66-59

The USC men’s basketball team kicked off what is certain to be an up and down season, on Friday night. They hosted the California State University of Northridge Matadors, and when the final buzzer sounded, the Trojans walked away with their first win. Many people are wondering just how successful USC’s season will be this year, with star point guard Jio Fontan being out with a season-ending ACL injury. In this game we saw Maurice “MoJo” Jones step up and take Fontan’s place, and man, is he fun to watch! We also saw big man Dewayne Dedmon make his debut, and he did not disappoint.
